Norman Perlmutter

PIC was founded in 1998 by Norman Perlmutter, former Chairman and CEO of Heitman Financial, which he and his associates built into one of the largest real estate investment advisors, with assets under management of more than $13 billion. At Heitman, Norman helped pioneer pension fund investment in real estate. He also helped establish the real estate investment programs for many of the country’s largest institutional funds. Considered one of the most prominent real estate experts in the U.S., he served as an adjunct professor of real estate in the graduate school of the University of Wisconsin. He was inducted into the Chicago Realtors Hall of Fame in 1991. Norman Perlmutter has served as a director on many corporate boards, including Warner Communications, Chris Craft Industries, United Television, Inc., and United Asset Management. In the late 1980s, he established the Snowmass Land Company, which successfully transformed Snowmass Village, Colorado into a high-end residential resort community.
